Renee Allen

Hi, I’m Dr. Allen, and I wear many hats: OBGYN, physician leader, author, media personality, and entrepreneur. I have a diverse background in clinical, academic, and executive roles, as well as a passion for women’s health and wellness.

Renee's journey

I was born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Canada, where I earned my Master’s of Health Science Degree in Community Health and Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. I then moved to the US to pursue my medical degree from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine. I completed my residency training in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory University and joined the faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine for four years. I then spent nearly a decade as an OBGYN Hospitalist in Atlanta, GA, taking care of women with complex obstetric and gynecologic conditions

love for Leadership position

In 2019, I decided to switch gears and take on an executive physician leadership position within the largest health system in Georgia, where I led Performance Improvement and education initiatives to make healthcare better, safer, and more efficient. I also created two innovative solutions for the nation’s leading health performance improvement company, where I worked as the Principal, Physician Clinical Operations until 2023. One of these solutions was focused on Women’s Health, particularly Maternal Health – my first love. In this role, I applied my clinical and operational expertise to improve healthcare outcomes, reduce costs, and increase patient satisfaction.
